Emirates EK412 DXB - SYD 10/5/09 Delayed

Can anyone shed some light on why EK412 from Dubai is 12 hours late?
As a result EK 412/413 SYD-AKL- SYD has been cancelled, what happened to the passengers booked on the cancelled flights? Were they rebooked through CHC on the EK 418/419?
