Interesting article (http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/story/0,22606,25454265-2682,00.html) on Adelaide Airport's expansion plans.
Major points are:
T1 expansion (old int'l terminal demolition, new int'l gate, 4 new parking bays, etc.)
New terminal (T2) on site of old terminal (for intrastate, GA, charters (mining, etc.))
Hotel
Multi-storey car park
Parallel runway (but unlikely due to noise)
Possibility of light rail link
A copy of the master plan can also be downloaded from the article. Terminal upgrade plans can be found from page 94 of volume 1 of the master plan.

Perhaps they should finish the last project before starting another;)

Had the chance to talk to some people about the master plan (including some AAL staff and nearby residents [I am also one of them ;)]), my guesses are:
T1 expansion - definitely! especially more international gates.
New terminal ("T2") - will happen, but probably not in the next 3 years.
Hotel - will happen, probably around 2011-2012.
Car Park Building - will happen, but probably not gonna happen before 2011.
Light Rail Link - unlikely.
Runway expansion - 50/50 chance.
But it would be a shame to see the current GA terminal gone as a lot of passengers actually prefer the GA terminal to T1 so that they don't have to go through all the hassles such as security screening etc. (but given the world we are living in, stricter security screening and all associated hassles are just a matter of time)
Regards.

I'd be interested to know what is not finished from the last project, and if these unfinished projects are not included in the master plan report.

Exit from the carpark for a start...............

I agree the car park exit is a bit of a back track, but it is not "unfinished". It is the design turned out that way. They have identified the roads in the masterplan in line with the construction of the multi-storey carpark, so fingers crossed this is improved.

Airport development plan gets federal blessing

FEDERAL Transport Minister Anthony Albanese has approved Adelaide Airport's master plan.
It covers the expansion of aviation and passenger facilities, including a multi-level car park and hotel, road modifications and a new charter operators' terminal - as revealed in The Advertiser this month.
The master plan was prepared before the Federal Government's aviation policy White Paper handed down last week.
It is the first such airport plan approved following the policy's release.
Adelaide Airport Ltd managing director Phil Baker yesterday welcomed the approval and said the plan provided a framework for the coming 20 years.
The plan would allow Adelaide Airport to increase capacity to meet predicted demand and achieve the best economic benefit for South Australia.
