Stamford Hotel Viewing

HI all,
Has anyone ever stayed at the stamford hotel that could recommend good rooms to view the action at the airport? Or is there a better place to stay to view. My kids are shouting me a trip down to sydney just so i can spend a day/night watching so any info would be great. Thanks

The Stamford is by far the best hotel for viewing the airport.

When you book make sure you ask for an airport side room, as high as possible and they always seem to be accomodating to the request. Depending on what room type your staying in you get higher. Level 10 seems to be the highest for the normal rooms, with the better rooms being up on Level 11 and 12. But the viewing from Level 10 down to 6 is okay. Anything lower and things start to get in the way.

Many board members have frequented the Stamford quite regularly and I'm sure all will agree it's the best location.

Stephen, thanks for your reply. The kids have said spend what it costs so ill go to room in level 10-12. just got a scanner as well so any info on freq. would be great. thanks

What's the viewing like over at the Quest when you've stayed?

Thanks for all the info guys. I can.t wait for my trip in feb next year. Coming from sunshine coast to sydney spotting will be a big diffrence i imagine:D
