-EBJ is airborne currently holding east of Horsham, QF409 SYD-MEL was circling/holding north east of YSCB, QF605 BNE-MEL and QF405 SYD-MEL have been turned off course obviously to give more time for the conditions to clear, and now appear to be holding.
UPDATE: 1027
-EBJ appears to have been cleared to approach YMML, descending through 10000'...... QF409 and QF605 still holding and
QF94 LAX-MEL holding east of YSCB. QF405 now holding closer to the airport at 13000'.
KE125 currently enroute from SYD-MEL. MH 149 appears to be enroute after stopping at ADL.
UPDATE: 1048
MH149 appears to be cleared in along with TR892, JQ777 ADL-MEL holding high alt, KE125 appears to be approaching but was holding prior, QF605 & 409 cleared in. QF461 SYD-MEL delayed but maintaining course..... QF63 looks to have taken the sensible option and is going to track well north of YMML and the congested area. QF94 looks to be heading for a hold too.

I can confirm that it was the proverbial S***fight!
Until about 5:50 it was misty, but acceptable. Shortly after there was a go around, and the fog rolled in at about 5:55. In the space of about 2 minutes it went from 7000m visibility to 240m.
Departing was very very slow... no movement at all for extended periods until about 7:30, and then it was one aircraft at a time. There were 13 aircraft in the queue for start clearance at one point, with an estimate of 5 mins between aircraft. Rather slow, as you can imagine!

Does anyone know if the delayed CX flight has left MEL for HKG or not? It did not arrive in MEL until 5pm.

The flight to HKG on 21 May has been delayed till tomorrow (22 May) and it is expected to depart at 07:45am. This means there will be two CX134 tomorrow.
