According to Planespotters.net the first flight was on 04-05-2009 however they have no delivery date listed.

From Flickr F-ONOU (http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3547/3428164622_63e0efca71.jpg?v=0)

and one of the comments from Flickr "777-300 Air Austral arrived in Reunion Island on May, 1st and had his first flight ".

I don't think that F-ONOU has been delivered as yet as I've seen a photo on the web of it still at Seattle on 19 May.

So PERHAPS the Arrivals and Departures Board MAY be correct.

Details are correct.

REU 9796 F-ONOU is due about 4.50-5.30pm from Seattle.

Scheduled to Park Bay 10. Should get good shots from the ITB viewing area.

Just took off from 34L - impressive! Anyone at the Mound or the beach should have got a good photo based on the rotation.

Seth Jaworski
25th May 2009, 03:05 PM
The light at the beach was atrocious- probably would've been much better from the mound with the dark clouds in the background.

I think il save my "Past the beach and tower taxi" for a better day.

The light only got worse so it wasnt worth staying out for the 772 to come.

Here are my attempts.
The good thing about right up at the fenceline at the beach, it gives you so many different angles to work with:

Great pics Matt. The 1st and 3rd are my favorites;)

The 1st one acctually looks like you have better light than Seth and I.

Tim, that pic of yours looks a tad oversharpened.

You might want to revise and re-upload.

that pic of yours looks a tad oversharpened

Understatement of the modern era, the entire empennage looks as if it's lunched out on some razor blades it is that sharp and jagged.

I understand the desire to have a pic uploaded first as the latest and greatest in the online domain (I've been there and done that before myself) however why not take the extra time ensuring the shot is as perfect as you can make it, it might just differentiate your shot that little more beyond that of other uploaders and appeal to the eye of someone who might just be looking for the image you've uploaded.

Let your image define your image......

Thus concludes my preachings for today, tune in next week for a sermon on another topic dear to my heart "Datsun or Nissan" :D

Seth, Tim, Matt excellent shots.

Id have to say I like Matt's most as its taken from really unique angle at fence (especially rotation shot with the wingflex).

Well done all and what a plane!

Tim, for more of the artful Craig Murray's words of editing wisdom, I suggest this little gem as part of your late night reading http://yssyforum.net/board/showpost.php?p=7852&postcount=5

I'm sure you'll agree the outcomes will give you goosebumps filled with satisfaction for days to come!

Tim,

I've had a look at the re-upload and it looks better, although the leading edge of the wing still suffers from some jaggies. Maybe some selective sharpening is needed. You should also delete the original from the queue. This can be done from the members section.

I also noticed you have some double uploads in there (the overview of the standoff bays in Sydney), and the pic of OJC has the wrong location, and has a blue cast over the shot.

Would someone care to explain what has gone on here?

http://www.jetphotos.net/showphotos.php?regsearch=F-ONOU

These photos were taken yesterday as dated(May 29th) yet accepted ahead of all us Sydney Spotters who saw her 4 days before yet our photos are still in queue at the 2,000 mark or near abouts. I think everyone would agree with me who was there we deserve a little recodnition for the bad light we had yet this one gets accepted ahead of all of us. I know Seths shot was in queue very quickly too. Its not even hot photo worthy so whats gone on?

Seth Jaworski
30th May 2009, 06:51 PM
Tim,
This is a matter to take up on jetphotos.net and not on this forum. I'm pretty sure they may have been incorrectly accepted as hot. I'll mention it to admin and let you know.

Fair point Tim. I'm also at a loss to understand how 2 shots with basically the same angle and same photographer got accepted.

Anyways enough said hopefully its explained!
