According to SYDAirport.com.au it looks likes a flight once every 2 days as SQ233/234. Any ideas if this is permenant? And will be aircraft remain a 773 or vary?

As far as I know, it will stay a 773ER and will operate every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings. I don't know when the extra flight will stop.

SQ233 / 234 will turn into a permanent flight in June I think. This is due to increased numbers and competition. Cathay are increasing to 4x daily on some days and this flight allows SQ222 to have some weight taken off since this flight SQ234 connects to later departures, allowing SQ222 to handle more of the closer evening departures from Singapore.

SIA will become a 100 aircraft strong carrier on the 30th April with the delivery of both A380 9V-SKD and 77W 9V-SWQ

Tim Bowrey

Will SKD be coming here? As SQ have recieved all their A380's, their newer ones tended to come here so would it be correct that SKD would make its flights here and theyd drop SKC say the SIN-LHR route?

They are getting their fleet going SQ are.. Where else will they send them? They cant possibly have 4 A380's just doing SIN-SYD and SIN-LHR can they?

All 3 fly to SYD regularly, they dont just send one plane consistently. When -SKD is delivered it will, like the other 3 fly regularly into SYD and LHR...as well as NRT (SIA637/638) from May 20th.

You're welcome, Phil!

One more substitution for tomorrow -
9V-SPP (the SQ Star Alliance B744) will be making an appearance on SQ221/212.

SQ231/222 is the usual A380 service.

Cheers,
wenglock.

P.S.: Apologies for posting yesterday's SQ substitutions thread in the wrong forum... my bad. :o
