ACCIDENT TO FALCON 900EX, VP-BMS, AT LONDON STANSTED AIRPORT ON 9 FEBRUARY 2004
The aircraft departed from Kilimanjaro en route to London (Luton) Airport with a known hydraulic problem. The crew believed, incorrectly, that this was allowed under the terms of the Minimum Equipment List. During the approach at Luton the crew were unable to obtain indications that the gear was down and locked following selections on both the normal and emergency systems. The crew requested a diversion to Stansted and the aircraft was configured for a full flap landing on Runway 05. During the landing roll the right main landing gear partially retracted and the aircraft veered to the right until it finally left the paved surface, crossed the grass, and came to rest about 139 metres to the right of the runway centreline.

Ta mate for the posting again, those pic links help me decide witch interesting biz jets to chase as I'm not a big biz jet fan but the odd one or two do raise my eye and keep a log of them if any time one strays into YMMLs airspace:D

Thanks Brian, I started to include the images of the corporates because I was looking them up anyway to help me ID the aircraft out at YSSY, and thought i would make it easy for everyone by sharing the images on the board.

Good to know the effort is useful.

N888GX is brand spanking new, and since she was delivered to SYD she's been flying pretty much SYD-PER-SYD...something like a certain Falcon 900B used to do, that up until recently was Australia based...No prizes for guessing the owner

Phil,

The FAA web site for aircraft is http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/ and then use the N Number option.

or on www.16Right.com (http://www.16Right.com) under the "Registration" menu and United States.

I dare say the information from the FAA is slightly incorrect. N613WF was the aircraft at YSSY today, not N618WF or N18WF.

Information courtesy of the very reliable Eyeball MkII.

Hi Nigel, The FAA details above were for N613WF so it looks like N18WF has been re-registered as N613WF and the paperwork is just a bit slow. Similarly for the ACARS re-programming, as it still comes up as N18WF.

CASA are also fairly slow with registration changes.

Having re-read the above posts, and removed the last of the red wine from the bottle, I can now see that you are indeed correct!

Humble apologies!

Good ole Eyeball MkI and MkII has been working well, as has Eardrum MkIII. Both are unbelievably reliable devices that don't rely on the aircraft transmitting data from far away.
Eye patches aren't necessary for MkI or MkII, in fact they seem to operate far better without them.

A quick look at Termoticon shows an in depth view on how they work...
