First it was Qantas in Australia and now it is Air Canada. In both cases Emirates airline has been viewed as a threat to the growth of the above national carriers.
And the phenomenon is likely to continue, says an aviation analyst with Innovation Analysis Group in California. "Emirates remains profitable and is growing as everyone else shrinks. Therefore, no matter what, it is going to run into opposition more. It has to thus step lightly," Addison Schonland told Emirates Business.
