From the Sydney Morning Herald:

"Seoul's Incheon International Airport has been named the world's best in the annual World Airport Awards.

Incheon beat out last year's winner, Hong Kong International, which fell to second place. Singapore's Changi came third.

1 Incheon International Airport

2 Hong Kong International Airport

3 Singapore Changi

4 Zurich

5 Munich

6 Kansai

7 Kuala Lumpur

8 Amsterdam

9 Centrair Nagoya

10 Auckland"

No real surprises there. Asia and Europe airports usually make the top 10 consistenty - no US or Australian airports in the top 10 but DFW is the top by region - North America.

Auckland @ #10. I was there in February and I certainly found it a lot more pleasant and easier to use than Sydney although somewhat smaller of course. I did wonder at the time why Sydney is such a dogs breakfast. Maybe the new building works at T1 might see things improve...

As usual, along with the Airlines, the Asians do it better. They define service and it's something the (well most) Western organisations really need to get a handle on.

Interestingly, nothing on Dubai's new port either.
