Hi all,

One of the 727 pilots from MEL filmed this, and has given me permission to upload the video.

Be warned though, it's an emotional video for those 3 holer lovers.

youtube video here (http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=__7mKJMCjwg)

Part 2 is now here (http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=_njCdDk0-Xk)

Cheers

Brings tears to my eyes seeing this magnificent plane being broken up as scrap metal:mad: Flew on her many years ago and many of her sisters too.
Pity one cant be restored back into a red delta ANSETT livery and put on display somewhere on a airport for all to see!!
Please vote if you agree with me!!:D
It would certainly be a draw card for many enthusiasts to visit.
Thanks for the video and sad to watch it, but memories will live on for many of us.
I also did the catering on her countless times in later years and also attended and flew on one of the very last Ansett 727-200 flights back in 1997
sad that time move on so quickly and less and less of these 727's will be around

I dread the day when we will no longer see the 727 in Sydney. Such an amzing aircraft to spot.

They'll probably petition the appropriate state government to arrange a state funeral or something ridiculous along those lines...

Harden up girls - it's a piece of ****ing metal!

does the wrecker actually know what he's doing? :D

as Derryn would say, that's life!

I'm stunned nobody has uploaded photos of its destruction...be worth a cool 150 million hits!
