Maybe they have some working again?

DELAYS FOR SOUTHBOUND AND NORTHBOUND DEPARTURES
FOR TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT

How do they work without radar?

According to the Brisbane airport website these flights did not divert they managed to land in Brisbane.

Without RADAR Gerard, it just becomes procedural. Not dangerous, just slightly harder for the controllers. Procedural airspace covers the majority of Australia, as RADAR only covers a very small percentage of mainland Australia.

Dad was waiting for a friend to arrive on a BNE-ADL QF flight which was delayed about 45 mins due to the radar issue.
