Great runway rainbows.

I shot this one at Uluru two weeks ago, a full arch ground to ground over the rock. Even with the wide angle AF-S DX 17-55mm f2.8G IF ED
I could not get it all in unfortunately.

I had a rainbow nearby too, but I couldn't fit it in at all with the 100-400, so I concentrated on the rock only. I think I got a slightly better background light for my pic of the Rock than yours Grahame.

Thoughts?

What? You're not appreciating my photography skills?!?!

Besides, I'm keeping it on topic...it was an 'aerial' shot.;)

Great shot Nigel.

Did you charter a Gulfstream G-V SP to fly over the rock for that aerial shot. I saw this G-IV make a few passes while I was climbing Uluru, and if you look really closely at your photograph you can see me climbing the east face (I'm the one pointing the camera at the Gulfstream).
