Just heard but missed seeing a flypast West to East down Sydney Harbour - did anyone capture it or know what it's about?

Can we play 20 questions on this one? I'll start with the first 4.
Helicopters?
Fixed wing?
Prop?
Jet?

Can I add, did it sound like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 aircraft, fast or slow ?
I did hear what sounded like a couple of jets close together around that time this morning.

An unidentified aircraft (Squawk 6000) at 515mtr appears on Webtrack at 0825:30 just west of Parramatta and tracks along the northern side of the Paramatta River past Longueville and Mosman descending to 460Mtr as it approaches the Sydney Heads, then climbed as it continued out to sea.

Hi Philip, depending on the answers to those questions raised above, two of the three USAF Hercs from Richmond departed early this morning in formation. This may or may not be what you heard. (info thanks to Richard G - Jetspotter for the information)

Two Hercs one after the other would fit the sound I heard. I saw heaps of USAF and USN around Darwin during the last week but didn't know they'd come this far south.

Yep there were three stationed out of Richmond from the 71st rescue squadron. One is still there with a prop off and i presume its had some issues the last week. Will depart when its fixed i guess, its the one painted with the shark mouth.

There was an American Herc did 2 orbits of Sydney Harbour on Thursday, using "King **" as its callsign.
