View Full Version : Daylight Hawaiian departure

We had 2 Hawaiian B767's parked next to each other last night for a short time on Bays 51 and 53. One of them came in as a Hawaiian flight and the other as an Air NZ flight (there was a thread on the other board regarding Hawaiian aircraft being serviced in NZ...).

The usual Hawaiian flight left last night from Bay 53, and the other broke down (N587HA, which apparently we don't see here on a regular basis. This was also discussed on the other boards thread!), so it overnighted rather than departing for NZ as NZ700. Not sure when it'll end up going now, but expect it to be towed to Bay 85 during the day for maintenance.

The plan now is for N587HA ("Pakalakala") to remain in SYD until Friday evening when the swap will take place again. N588HA ("Ïwa") will come in as HA451, departing to NZ on Saturday. 587 will go out as HA452 Friday night.

Was the one that broke down the one that had just been serviced? :o

Yes.

The aircraft are being done in tail number order. 587 just came out of the C check in AKL and 588 is next to go over, tomorrow morning as (I think) NZ6022.

Yep from memory they were 585 and 586 which apperently we also said we don't get to see that much either. From memory on the old board this is due to something about a smaller cargo area?

I got pic of both of them, I think I said that I was going to post them on the old board but never got a round to it before it went belly up. They came in on 1 Feb.

Cheers

ANZ has switched the aircraft from A320 to Hawaiian Airlines' Boeing 763ER for NZ700 and NZ707 and other NZ flight numbers as well (It depends on the roster).
