Using Qantas Frequent Flyer points

On a typical Qantas B737 flight, how many seats would be set aside for FF redemption?

At some point in time do any " unclaimed " seats become available for a non-FF online booking?

If so, when does this happen? The day before? 3 hours before??

All flights now have seats available just try online and bingo.

At the moment I do not have enough points to even attempt a dummy booking.

Waiting on a Family Transfer which will occur in the near future.
