I live under the approach for 16L and I was thinking of buying the Air Nav Systems Radar Box (http://www.airnavsystems.com/RadarBox/index.html) ADS-B receiver to have a display of all aircraft around Sydney Airport.

What are peoples thoughts on this? Has anyone used one? Good/Bad?

Hi
I have had an RB for over a year now and it is working great!
I live under the 16r approach at the start of the ILS so i get to see some great aircraft. This is a great toy and really sugest it to anyone considering it.
from where i live with the standard antenna i get a range of 40nm with peaks of 70nm. if you get an external antenna people have had range of 200nm plus.
The net work is great (but mine has run out and havent purchesed some more yet) so you can conect to other RB's in Aus or the world.
so if u have any more questions just ask:)

I'm assuming you can use the RB on PlanePlotter and not have to pay for network accress to the Radar Box server?

Thanks for the replies - I've just ordered it.

Hopefully i'll be able to do some tinkering to get the data online and will let you know where to find it!
