On Friday, as its a public holiday in Melb, the annual "Qantas Good Friday" Flight will occur. We still go to BNE for the day, and up to the Australia Zoo, then home.

What I was questioning, is that the Plane is a QF 767, but which rego??
Is there a spare 767 that is available for the whole day on Friday:confused:
As its a early flight (8am), a overnighter 767 then mabye???, departing DOMESTIC 1

Really appreciate feedback guys!

(I will be on this flight by the way!;))

On Friday, as its a public holiday in Melb,

It is pretty safe to say that it is a public holiday in every state and territory in Australia...

You might like to read up on the purpose of the flights...they aren't because its a public holiday or because its good friday...the flights are run in conjunction with the Royal Childrens Hospital good friday appeal...all proceeds go towards the appeal

Excellent news Nige!

I'm happy to report I will be paid double time and a half now that Nigel has confirmed it is a public holiday in Sydney! Oh wait, Nige, does that apply to Wollongong as well?

That doesn't really matter this Easter holiday weekend for me...I'm working in SYDNEY on all 4 days;)

Will this be operated by the same aircraft or will they send it elsewhere.

I know, thats the reason i was doing it(help out the kids:)), anyway i had an awseome day, would anyone like to see a trip report on this great day, managed to get a few pic here and there
We also raised:
-$102,000!!! in total of the flight
-and sold $2000 worth of raffle tickets on board
- Thousands of dollars from a silent auction

A great cause:)

I digged up this one-year-old thread, I guess the trip report would be made about an year ago too.

I saw QF6625 on PlanePlotter and did a google search. The search brought me to this thread and explained the special flight number.
