A400m first flight

The first Airbus A400M military airlifter completed its first flight from Seville, Spain on Friday, 11 December.

A total of 5 A400Ms will particiapte in the 3,700 hours flight test programme over the next two years with the first production aircraft due to be delivered to the French Air Force in 2012.

Happened to be in Seville on the day of the first flight. It was a pretty big deal with a large screen in the city centre and plenty of news coverage that evening. No, i didn't get out to the airport as i was unaware of what was occuring until it was too late. :-(
