Nice report Ryan.

I visited both FRA & AMS in May 2005. T2 at FRA was different then with 2 levels with a cafe/toilets on lower level.

I flew into FRA on QF5 then we got the midnight train to Dusseldorf 3 days later. The USAF base was right opposite from T2 (now disbanded and redeveloped).

Flew Dusseldorf-Manchester on Air Berlin FK100; nice flight, roomy and good service.

AMS we flew a day trip with Easyjet out of Gatwick.
Great deck and yes it gets hot but we had varying weather for the day. That cafe was very welcome (as a smoker). Funny rules there, you can't smoke on the deck (open air) but you can in the cafe/restaurants. (Same scenario at Dusseldorf).
