I am hoping someone may be able to help me with a few registration tie ups from a recent family holiday in Oz which took in Sydney.

United 747 seen departing over the city at 1638 Hrs
Two Global Express in GA area at 1125 Hrs

Asiana 777 on stand at 0940 Hrs
Thai 777 on stand at 0940 Hrs
Korean 747 on stand at 0940 Hrs
United 747 departed at 0943 Hrs
United 747 on stand at 0950 Hrs
Lan 340 taxying for departure at 0954 Hrs
China Southern A340 taying in at 0958 Hrs
China Eastern A330 on stand at 1120 Hrs
Cathay A330 on stand at 1120 Hrs
FedEx MD11F on stand at 1120 Hrs
Atlas 747F on stand at 1120 Hrs
747F on stand with the above two at 1120 Hrs - all white
United 747 seen departing over the city at 1537 Hrs
Qantas A380 seen departing over the city at 1755 Hrs


Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have some info from ACARS, but would like to get confirmation on some if at all possible.

That covers virtually everything. If anyone can help on the Cathay and confirm TF-AAB, I would be grateful. Or maybe I am just being greedy !!

Barry, the all white 747 was A6-GDP, Dubai Air Wing. It flew its final flight out of Sydney on the 6th (to be replaced by 744F A6-GGP).

Cathay was B-LAF which dep 11:45 (approx) as CX162.

I have just realised that I am also missing the China Eastern 330 which was on stand at 1050 Hrs on 5/1 as per the first list. Sorry to ask again, but they are not the most common machines for us over here in the UK.

B-6119 Im pretty sure it was mate.

The QF A380 on 5/1 was VH-OQD, however VH-OQB departed to LAX late at around 6.20pm. Could of also been that

It was OQB on SBS at 17:56 as QF11.

Hi Tim

That's not Sydney acars from what I can work out. (Mode H is probably near China) plus arriving at 3pm can't be right. So you have picked up the departure from Pudong I'd say.

My SBS has CES562 B6122 departing at 11:35 am.

B-6119 (CES561) arrived in SYD at about 9:50am on the 6th.
