E170 MEL-MQL MEL-CBR MEL-SYD E190 MEL-MQL MEL-ADL MEL-SYD MEL-LST MEL-CBR

Oliver I know either or both DJ893 and DJ899 on certain days are operated by E190, DJ801/3 is usually an E170 most days, Im fairly sure some of the middle of the day flights are E190 between MEL and ADL. DJ1372 is E190 to LST and operates back as DJ1375 usually late afternoon.

No that is not a typo the E190 does go to MQL on occasions, I can recall at least three times Ive know it to operate in lieu of the E170 on high pax days.

DJ are getting more E-190s does anyone know where they will be based and what new routes will they start?

HBA-SYD goes from double daily 737 to triple daily E90 from the end of March. BNE-NTL also gets E90s replacing 737s. And I forgot an additional SYD-CNS E90 as well.

Thanks Kain C,
So 1 new E190 based in SYD and 1 new E190 based in BNE so that would leave one more E190 to arrive after them and thats the end of the deliveries. Unless DJ start to exercise those options. That would be good and maybe start up a NZ operation with them.

If by basing you mean where the aircraft overnights, then one based in CNS to do the CNS-SYD first thing, and another based in HBA (:)) to do the HBA-SYD first thing. Maybe the remaining E90 is based in PER to do the Xmas/Cocos Islands routes plus some more in WA?

The 6 am flight Mel - Syd is a E jet - had to get that flight once last year (too early for me as a rule!) was best flight we had on Virgin all year (75 flights on DJ in 2009). Best crew and flying in the E jet was so much better than sitting in a 737 etc. The landing was so smooth if had not been looking out the window i would have been able to sleep through it

I didn't believe the E190 would be any good in NZ, since they don't like the cold, hmmm

That's good that DJ are bringing back an early morning Syd flight been a while since it stopped. Will they bring back the late MEL-CNS flight as well? They use to operate 3 SYD, 2 MEL and 5 BNE flights from CNS daily.

I can't see any operational reason that the E-Jet is not suited to cold ops :D

Please explain your statement. :)

I have a question about the pacificblue E-Jet VH-ZPM. Is this plane based in BNE or NZ ? I´ve seen some pictures with the E-Jet in WLG ( airliners.net )

Andre,

When ZPM was delivered it flew part of its delivery route via WEL for a bit of Pacific Blue promotion, both are Australian registered.

They also do just fine in Canada and USA which is rather cold (especially at the moment!!) too.

No More deliveries? Are the new services operated by the existing E-jet fleet? So the last 3 are they due for delivery next year 2011?

:-( I´m in NZ in NOV and hoped to fly an E-Jet on the PacifcBlue domestic service.
