Emirates A380 to MEL by April

OK, a bit of shameless self-promotion, but news nonetheless!

Emirates spokesperson Stephen Holl said that the airline operates three daily flights ex Melbourne to Dubai using their Airbus A340-500 and Boeing 777-300 aircraft with two direct services from Melbourne to Dubai and one service via Singapore to Dubai.

Emirates operate one of the most modern fleets of all the global airlines and by early April 2010, the airline will commence direct services between Melbourne to Dubai using the A380 super jumbo.

Stephen Holl at Emirates has provided an update. There was a change over the weekend and the A380 will not be in MEL by April.
