That's right, EMB-135BJ VH-VLT arrived on 16L in horrible weather conditions. Nice looking aeroplane though. Brand new, manufactured 2009 and first registered in Australia just 4 weeks ago.

On oz-spotters they are quoting CEF04 which I'd say is the call sign or flight no.

Did any one notice the 2 Blackhawks that flew over the intersection of 16R/34L and 07/25 at an approx. height of 200ft. I was told that the were landing over at the GA section of the airport.

Blackhawks were dropping off some VIP's then departing shortly after. They've got too big a rotor diameter for the heliport, so had to use Dom-6.

Grahame N418SG seems to be a new GV-550, with a c/n of 5207, did it arrive or an overfly?

Phil, I noticed that N418SG (http://cdn-www.airliners.net/aviation-photos/middle/7/5/3/0914357.jpg) is currently a reserved registration with multiple records on the FAA web site. The Gulfstream G550 (5040) 2004 looks like it was the previous aircraft holding this registration, so the status is a little unclear at present.

I checked the ACARS log and there were no route details included unfortunately.

Hi Phil, N418SG was previously in Melbourne middle of Jan so quite possibly overflew Sydney to Faa'a as it is departing Faa'a to Palm Springs at 10:27UTC. As for the operator, a photo i found from the other week had it as Indigo Management Co (2).

Grahame, the latest photo on airliners has the serial as Phil mentioned. (5040) is currently HB-JEV

I was on Shep's Mound Jayden, and left about 11:20 (time on camera as I took some long distance shots of the UAE 737), so would have had it taxiing past.
I should have 'clicked' something, was about as 3 or 4 cars were in a hurry to get to the mound as I was leaving. Doh!!

Hopefully it might stay for the Spotting Weekend guys/gals.

Morrie's photo just shows '2801'; same scenario with the french military some have numbers but use civil call sign on acars.

Remember the Mexican AF 757 at Apec? Code is TP-01 but also carries XC-UJN. 'Officially' it is the military serial that is normally logged.
Same as the Thai A310 60202, also carries HS-TYQ.

Some spotters log both!

Drove past GA at 6.30pm Saturday.....absolutely torrential rain at that point so didn't stop, saw N300AQ and VH-OCV...was also a Gulfstream in...rego anyone? Had orange cheatlines, looked USA N...TP???
