Hey Everyone!

Rex is about to take delivery of another saab in the next coming days with
N400BR currently on its delivery flight it will then turn into VH-ZRM. It Landed at Coolangatta Airport at 8:22am Local Time (9:22am NSW TIME) and after clearing customs it then Departed at 8:55am continuing the normal delivery route which i believe is Orange then Wagga Wagga.

In my Opinion it is rare to see a REX with a US Rego so here is a picture for all of you who might never see one.

Its the last one! Registration to be confirmed, it has always been said to be LKH, however I have recently heard VH-REX.

It's definitely been changed to REX now Chris - I saw an email from someone important the other day confirming that.

I wonder how popular -LKH would've been with the Rex staff?
I'm guess not very!

Interesting to me, but probably pointless, is the fact that we have both the largest 340 fleet in the world with Rex and the largest Fokker 50 fleet (and second largest Fokker operator) with SkyWest.

Fleet replacement plans will be interesting, given ATR and Bombardier are the only turboprop manufacturers left in this market.....

Fleet replacement will indeed be interesting, there being nothing in that 35-seat 'sweet spot' anymore.

Rex Chief Pilot is on record as saying (at a talk to the Royal Aeronautical Society, Sydney branch in 2008 I think) that these 'new' B+ aircraft are expected to still be useable in 15-20 years, so at this stage there's no great urgency to find a replacement.
