Operating Hours Of Sydney International Airport

Does the international terminal close between midnight at 4am or does it only apply to the domestic terminal?

Reason I ask is that there is an Emirates flight that departs at 6am and a Qantas flight that departs at 6:15am. Check in normally opens 3 hours before departure, which would mean the terminal would have to open at 3am.

The International terminal closes at 2400 and re-opens at 0300 during daylight savings, and 0400 the rest of the year.

I only found out this info tonight when I was on a guided familiarisation tour of the terminal. I must say I'm quite impressed with the upgrade works and new look of the terminal. It's certainly changed since I last went on an overseas holiday in 2006!

I can only concurr... A mate of mine whom I dropped at the international terminal last week, was off to Dubai on that flight on his way to Iran for a soccer comp. Although, at 3am it was not quite open, 3.15 it was! And there were a LOT of people around there at that time in the morning!
