I'm flying Vaustralia on Thursday Syd-Mel-Phuket then returning on 21st March Phuket-Brisbane-Syd.
My question is re DutyFree booze (1 litre bottles) - can I take them onto Bris-Syd Virgin Blue flight or are they subject to 100ml rule?

100ml rule only applies to international flights or domestic sectors of international flights.
There are no liquid restrictions on any domestic flights... you can bring as much liquid as you want, provided you are under the carryon weight limit.

But be careful with domestic flights departing int'l terminals (e.g. Jetstar MEL-SYD) as the 100ml rule does apply then.

Hi there
Departing KUL this morning, the Duty Free shop at the LCCT put each bottle in a seperate bag, which they sealed and were tamper proof.
The lady at the counter said they then can go though international transit screening in Australia (and elsewhere) in these bags.
Cheers
