The footy's BORING so I googled a few sites.

Virgin America surprised me as it operates 28 A319s/A320s but more surprising were some of the quirky names given to the aircraft such as :

"Let there be flight"
"1 Year Old Virgin"
"Virgin & Tonic"
"Tubular Belle"
"Youtube Air"
"Fog Cutter"
"Jane" ..........(very plain compared to the others IMHO)
"GoGo Dancer"
"California Dreaming"
"Jefferson Airplane"
"Entourage Air................(WT??)
"Midnight Ride"
"Chicmobile".................(love it)

But the one I would love to see but very much doubt it is ...

"Virgin On The Ridiculous"

I think Jetblue has the upper hand on good names ;)

My favorites are:

N562JB - "The Name Is Blue, JetBlue"

N534JB - "Bada Bing Bada Blue"

N542JB - "Deja Blue"

N712JB - "Enough about me.... Let's talk about blue"

N715JB - "How's My Flying? Call 1-800-JetBlue"

I'd love to see a list of our Virgin Blue (VA, PB) plane names - probably up there with the best

The list Tim has linked is fairly good, I do my own lists on another site but they are not that up to date at the moment (need to roll through them). However, one of my friends has a more up to date list here http://actbus.net/site/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=806&Itemid=104 and this one also has the Embraer names, which are very clever indeed.

And Bob, if you would like to see it on the plane, email them! I am sure they will take it into account, or pass it on to the person who has that task of naming the planes!

Nice list. Might want to let him know that VH-VUL is actually named "Ballina-Rina Blue"... I flew with her on Good Friday.

I do like the names that Virgin Blue give their aircraft I have to say. Thanks for the links above, I saw one yesterday and thought it had something to do with 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang', there she is 'Chitty Chitty Broome Broome' hehe :)

On this note, is VH-VOZ "Didgeree Blue" still the only V Australia aircraft to have a name?
