You just never know... a certain illustrious member of this forum may also share in this so called fetish, having recently completed his 2000th sector crewing onboard the birds :D Congratulations!

And Ray, super shots mate, and although against the run of light, I love the ones like your QF747, SQ777 and the latter Tiger shot.

I enjoy flying on them, but would hardly call it a fetish... seems Mr P is alone on this one! :D:D

2000 sectors conpleted in 3 years and 2 weeks! Here's but a few of the stats from log book.

Flown - 359 410 miles
Pax - 45 622
Hours - 1385:55
Crew: 88 different captains, 142 different first officers.
a/c - 50 different Saabs.

Adding my 2c here, absolutely awesome shots! My favourite is the one of Maliblue (6th Shot in the 2nd posting of photos), the lighting is just awesome that you can even see the Captain's Epaulettes and the passenger's faces! :D

I agree Mr P might be alone as far as the fetish goes. :D Although would have liked to have seen at least ONE turboprop in there.

Spose I don't have to sit in 'em all day!

Just reminding everyone that there is more to the airline world than the heavy metal.

Actually Matt, I was standing on the roof of my Tarago. I wear soft shoes and keep to the edges so I don't leave any dents.

Thanks also to all for the kind comments. Actually, for the few hours that I was there it seemed that there was a distinct lack of Saabs. :)

Nice to meet you too Jamie. :) Yeah that was JQ36 to SYD on VH-EBC where I saw you, and then we returned to MEL on JQ35 with VH-EBA which is in Ray's photo. I'm sure a few of us from this board have crossed paths at times without even knowing it. This time you happened to come up and say hi and made this world seem a little bit smaller!

I'm sure you do, even better again from the 'In-n-Out' Burger Restaurant at LAX, but hey, this is a Melbourne spotting thread.

BTW, thanks Martin and Chris for your kind comments. Martin, if you PM me your email, I could probably send you some in original size, but they will be pretty big. :)

No worries!
the QF 738 is my fav pic so far!
Its funny looking at the Thai 777 - that livery is soooo out dated now!
