Did he say very thin pieces of glass:eek:. Sounds like the passenger wont get much option to open the window and have a look out when he/she wants to if flight attendants have the control.

From what I've read about these, if the crew darkens all the windows, you have the option of over-riding your window to a certain point. So if the crew chooses 100% dark, you can bring it back to 50% with your personal control.
