Just monitoring SBS & PP and notice 9V-SWR (SQ222) is overhead CBR at FL180 (heading 247 degrees). No idea why he's nr CBR at such a low alt?

yeah i just noticed this too. It's currently over Bendigo tracking almost due west, still at FL180. I can't help on this one.

Isn't it a little strange that it is tracking WSW and it is a SYD/SIN flight? Or am I missing something?

It is now maintaining FL250.

Climbed to FL250, very strange, hope it stays in a PP sharer's range until it gets back on track.

Just noticed a thread in Australian Industry about QF5 and 31 tracking a long way south today, so maybe its meteorological or atmospherical or metaphysical?? (well maybe not the last one!)

I've noticed that the Emirates LR has been doing the same for the last 2 to 3 mornings!

But, back to the present, the 2 BA flights and Thai have gone 'the normal way' via Bathurst/Dubbo.

QF1 seems to be on the usual track.

Also very interesting that the SQ flight maintained FL250 for so long. Must be very strong winds at higher altitudes.

Cheers

Huge Westerly winds over the last week (150kts plus today) would probably explain it.

This may have played a part?
