Do all Qantas CityFlyer services operate with extra Cabin Crew after 5pm?

QF464, VH-VXA tonight, had the standard 5 crew, despite being a full flight with a dinner service

Only reason I can think is that since it was scheduled to be a 734, they had 5 crew as normally 734's operate with 4 Cabin Crew

For a while now, no extra cabin crew on 737 dinner services, with the exception of MEL-ADL-MEL. The 734 has the standard 4 and the 73H has 5.

734 services to CBR from any port have 5, regardless of time of day. No extra on CBR 73H services.

73H Tasman services operated by Short Haul are now in line with Jetconnect - 5 cabin crew (lost one). Noumea still has an extra, I think.

Short dinner services on the 763s still have 9 cabin crew (two extra for GEs and one extra for RRs).

It's crazy. Hope that helps.

Seems ridiculous to me - obviously done to cut the costs of an exta online crew member, but the SYD-MEL services are pretty short, and with a full flight I should think it would be difficult to get the service completed - especially when weather means the seatbelt sign is on for a fair bit of time, as it was tonight.

Despite this there seem to sometimes be fairly large groups of crew who pax on these services
