Having a look through seatexpert.com and the website suggests that in economy, the majority of window seats have an 'obstructed view' on the Qantas B767s.
On some series of a/c, the obstructed window views are all the way through to row 42, in others row 47.

How accurate is this info?

cheers

The seatmaps from the qantas website have the windows marked with a white '\__/'

Adam, The grey stripes on each side are the wing positions. On seatexpert.com, obstructed windows are indicated by red windows and yellow seats (4 rows blocked plus a couple misaligned?).

Thanks both for your replies.
Checking 1.5 hours before the flight and I only had a choice of 5 seats to choose from, all of which did not have windows! No dramas though as it was a good flight regardless. Not sure why seat expert shows all rows between 41-48 as "obstructed window" - only a few window seats were not lined up with an actual window.

I guess these websites are to be used as a 'guide', after all.

Can someone please remind me which rows have the misaligned or absent windows on these flights? Is it rows 27-30?

Given the multiple 763 configurations, which rows should be avoided to make sure there is no windowless, misaligned, or engine/wing-obstructed seats?

Should we just select rows around 43-45 to be sure of an unobstructed window view?

Could I bring this thread back to life please for an update on the above question.
I have a few 763 flights coming up next week and only have one flight's worth of previous experience on a Qantas 763.

Thanks.

I know row 24 is windowless on pretty much all (except ZX series) also pretty sure 29 or 27 are also windowless.

This Qantas 767-338 seat map page has a link for each of the variants in their fleet:

http://www.qantas.com.au/travel/airlines/aircraft-seat-map-boeing-763/global/en

Generally row 29 is windowless, and sometimes rows 24 and 30 on some variants are also windowless. Behind the wing there are no 'windowless window' seats if you want to be sure of getting a window.

I've been on a QF 763 with Row 24 not having a window, so if you're not sure which variant you're flying then definitely a row to be avoided if you want a view!
