On reading about the new Thai Tiger agreement between Thai Airlines and Singapore Airlines, I am musing re the possibilities of perhaps Virgin Blue (VBH) also doing a deal with SQ and doing a deal with them for Tiger Australia giving them a DJ/TT alliance in opposition to QF/JQ.
This would enable DJ to hive off low-value seats to a lower cost-based entity while retaining earnings.
The tie-up would also enable Tiger to be much better funded and managed while also vastly improving relations with SQ!

would not be such a stupid idea! would really then give QF/JQ a scare - remembering in background that SQ would love to "own" QF!!!!

however.. I do recall Mr Borgetti stating "he was not in the business of helping his competitors" when TT was looking for ground crew for inaugural ASP flights........??
maybe SQ will forgive him......

I am a little surprised by the lack of comment on this muse.
i am trying to gain some insight as to what Mr. Borghetti might have in mind!

I am interested to understand why no VB people have made no comment!!
