Hi all
I believe a B747 was in Rockhampton tonight. If anyone could shed some light on who it belonged to, i'd appreciate it!

RSAF Exercise Wallaby is all over for another year with Antonov 124 RA-82074 arriving into Rockhampton late Thursday and departing early this morning. It had been in earlier in the week. In all 4 RSAF Apaches and 5 RSAF Super Puma were uplifted to Singapore - I'm not too sure if any replacement helicopters were brought from Sinapore though.
I've posted a couple of photos of the Antonov from Tuesday this week while it was on the ground at Rocky Airport - preparing for loading and changing a tyre! (Photos courtesy of Ben O...)

4 or 5 (didn't count) Super Puma's were being re-assembled today at Rocky.
I arrived back in Rocky around 0230-0300 Wednesday morning to find the tower open for the Antonov's departure. Quite a surprise, but helpful given the weather conditions!

Thanks for your reply Mick F - you have confirmed that the Antonov brought some replacement Super Puma helicopters into Australia - you didn't happen to catch any of the serials??
Damian N - yes there were two chinooks that participated this year - 88190 and 88191 - they self deployed thru Darwin, Mt Isa and Longreach.
Cheers

Can't say I did. Not really an interest of mine. I never got closer than our hangar anyway.
A few of them today were doing test flights after re-assembly.
Cheers
Mick
