I noticed today on 16Right Acars that Thai 994 was operated by HS-TKD which is a 777-300 in the new colour scheme. Is this a permanent change or a one off from the 777-200.

Thanks.

Definently the -300 operating the early service, in the new livery. I would think it is a one off - apparently there is a vast difference in inflight product from the 200 to the 300 so TG wouldn't want to 'downgrade' too often

Actually, TG are upgrading their 773s and from later this month (I think) 2 of the 3 daily SYD flights will be 773 operated. I am also assured that all SYD flights (be it 772ER or 773) have the new interiors. They had better - I am booked on a 773 BKK-SYD in mid June!!

never know with TG...they started their 773 into Perth and less than 4 weeks later they pulled the thing off the route.

seatguru suggest that some of their 773 has been refitted.

Thai is very unpredictable in terms of aircraft. The 773 have newer seats but they don't have PTV's installed in Economy Class. The Business Class has the sleepers though so that would probably be the reason the 773's can do the Sydney run.

The Sydney run should see the 772ER on the morning while the afternoon and evening service would most likely be the ones being done with the 773.
