Forgive me if I missed a link on another thread about this. I was driving over Ryde bridge at about 3.30pm this afternoon and noticed an aircraft at about 2000m heading south. I couldn't make out the type or livery (SO annoying having to avoid other cars when there's a plane to spot!!) but it seemed to have rear mounted engines. I just checked on webtrack and there was an MD82 showing as arriving from Brisbane on 34L at 3.40pm. Does anyone know any details of the aircraft/flight?

Was it this one?

Clive Palmer uses it for a number of reasons but during the A League season, it is used to transport his Gold Coast United team around. They play Central Coast tomorrow in Gosford so that might be the reason.

Thanks Radi and Sarah. Yup, I suspect you have hit the nail on the head - though I have to say that as I was driving north and the plane was flying south I didn't really get to see a whole lot of detail. But it definitely did have dark blue along the fuselage and on the tail. Thanks again

Hi Guys, confirming the mineralogy md82 was in this afternoon. Came in and out within the hour. I'll post some photos of the arrival later tonight. It also left and departed off 34L..

It just did the boring BNE-SYD-BNE run.
