From the pprune forum, there is a Emirates Skycargo arrving into Sydney. Flight details below are from the EK Skycargo website.

Aircraft is a Boeing 77X (777 Freighter).

EK4930 from DXB -> SYD (non-stop)

Depart DXB on 23rd Dec 2100LT, arrive SYD on 24th Dec 1700LT.

Sydney Airport has it as scheduled at 1700LT but estimate at 0730LT.

The above plane will depart out of Sydney on the 27th Dec.

EK4931 from SYD -> JFK (1 stop)

Depart SYD on 27th Dec 0800LT, arrive JFK on 28th Dec 1045LT.

Hey Benny it's been pushed back till 17:30 now. Maybe SACL had the time wrong and replaced the 1 with a 0.

Here it is on short final from Qantas Drive and then parked at GA.

On a side note, if anyone knows how to combine multiple exposures into a single HDR, could you PM me? I have 6 or 7 shots but I don't know what settings to use when I merge them in Photoshop - whenever I try the images just looks bizarre...

It says 8am tomorrow on the EK site but SACL showed the arrival on Xmas Eve but don't show the departure which is odd. I'll still be there in flying colours though.

Upon more digging on the Skycargo website, i think i found out the routing.

EK4931 (Routing SYD - SWF - JFK)

I wonder how accurate this is considering the fact SWF is like 54nm away from JFK and comparing SYD - SWF is 8634nm. So is this 77X empty?

And also this shows a 0800LT departure and the other direct routing search shows a 0700LT departure.

The B777F has been towed to the freight apron at 0400.

Must have departed around 7.45am . It is passing through FL250 East of the NSW Central Coast at the moment on a NE heading .. On Brisbane freq 128.6 . Just passed a trip time of 17h40m . The controller said " rather you than me " ..The pilot also reported they were carrying horses and their grooms ..

Thought i almost missed the plane when i shock awaken by Lee at 0648 this morning. So quickly rushed to Port Botany boat ramp and waited. The plane got delayed and departed at 0804 for KSWF.

flight plan takes it over Noumea, north of Fiji, over Hawaii, then northern California, towards Chicago then into New York state.
