The aircraft I normally fly is away for a month on a round Australia trip, so this morning was an opportunity to check out a suitable replacement for January from the Schofields fleet.

Afterwards I had a good walk around the airport and photographed the following ....

VH-YYT Embraer Phenom 100
It's difficult to get small jets like this to look good, however I think Embraer have done a fairly good job with this one.

VH-YYT Embraer Phenom 100
I think the nose with this livery looks particularly good on the Phenom 100.

VH-YYT Embraer Phenom 100
The Phenom 100 looks a little sleaker nose on compared to the profile view.

Didn't bump into Dickie in your travels did you?

I've been trying to catch up with him when I'm in SYD, but it's like nailing down jelly...

Happy New Year!

That hangar door is right next to our hangar, and I always park in front of that sign :D

Re the aircranes, given that they are 40 + years old, would it not be more logical for say the Federal Govt to actually buy a few secondhand ones and position/use them in whichever States require them each year, rather than endlessly hiring them for what would no doubt be a considerable amount of taxpayers money?
