Hi all

Yesterday afternoon a large Bell helicopter (212/214) carrying Transwest titles headed north over the central coast. It was carrying a fire code - It was about a kilometer away but looked like 279 or 273.

Does anyone know what this aircraft may have been?

Dave

I say it would be C-GTWI - B214 (Helitak 279)

Helitak 273 is a B212 C-GSGT with Wildcat on the side

Saw this bird at Caboolture north of Brisbane on Friday. Interestingly, the three digit fire code printed on the side seemed to be made up of portions of the Aussie flag rather than printed in a single solid colour. I found it very hard to read the digits.

Damien, I saw the same three digit fire code with Australian flag on this chopper yesterday at Bankstown.

Thanks Grahame. For some reason the photos aren't appearing on my browser. What did you think of the flag/numbers? I thought the idea nice but it seemed to detract from the legibility on the chopper I saw in QLD.
