A nice gesture from Southwest Airlines.

Hat's off to the pilot. What a wonderful gesture of empathy. Goes to show that although U.S airlines are still driven by bums-on-seats business, the human elements of caring for passengers still shines through.:)

I suspect every day a major airline will have a passenger on-board trying get to a dying person, or to get somewhere for a very recent death
and the airline do it best to fit in that person urgent travel plans

Nice - Not many airlines that would do that I think!
Southwest run a VERY tight ship and a great operating and airline to work for, from all accounts.
