I have a ticket for the Antarctic scenic flight from Melbourne on the 6th February. The flight number is QF2903, and I was wondering if it will be a B744 or B744ER?

Lucky You. Too early yet. Most probably an ER. Give it a few days.:D

Will OJP come via SYD, or is it coming in as QF10 tomorrow?

OJP has just completed SYD-JNB-SYD today so it will probably come from SYD.

Looks like VH-OJP is operating QF1 tonight. So the charter must be another aircraft. Anyone know?

Thanks Grahame, Hoping it is an 744ER now. Haven't had the pleasure of flying on an ER. Would like to stamp it in my logbook ;).

Yep they swapped it to OJL. You are probably on it now. Enjoy. Leaving SYD with 100 T gas on board to save some time in MEL.:D

OJL has gone to Melbourne as QF6151.

VH-OJL QF6151 06/02/2011 06:44 B747-438 - Qantas - Sydney-Melbourne

Looks like it departed off 34L and tracked out over Marrickville, Ashfield and Homebush. It is currently (0744L) at 4900ft heading 260 at 207kts and about to turn onto final for Runway 16.
