I have been trying to navigate to the Egyptair Website without much luck, I have a booking from CAI to Sharm in a few weeks from now and my arrangements have changed dramatically due to the current situation, is anyone able to tell me what the current cancellation penalties are? is there a change to conditions of contract? I need to know before I make my next move.
thanks.

Got travel insurance, Monty? That should cover you based on the latest DFAT warnings.

sure do, but the excess is about the same as the cost of the ticket! :p I have put a dispute in with the bank based on what is happening and the fact that I cannot contact Egyptair.
just waiting to get info from them.

Good luck!
I go through my health fund (MBF) when I book travel insurance...no excess!

Monty,
Egypt Air's mobile site (http://www.egyptair.mobi/) still seems to be working. While the options available are limited, there is a "My Bookings" option which may allow you to type in your booking details and see if any info on change fees appears as you proceed. Of course, the path past the mobile site may not connect as per the main site, but may be worth a try.
Hope this helps.

Qantas will be operating a government chartered 747 evacuation flight on Wednesday this week , which will return to Frankfurt or London for any Aussies trying to get out of Cairo
