As per 16FEB11 GDS Inventory display, China Eastern starting 27MAR11 is adjusting selected International service, mainly on Bangkok, Dubai and Melbourne.

Planned changes as follows:

Shanghai Pu Dong – Melbourne Boeing 767-300ER replace Airbus A340
MU737 PVG2015 – 0900+1MEL 763 x134
MU738 MEL1100 – 1920PVG 763 x245

Glad to see a few different variants into Melbourne.

I didn't mention in the post but this may be operated by Shanghai Airlines' Boeing 767, which inflight product is inferior compared to MU 333/343.

Will the 767 be in Shanghai and not China Southern colours, if so will be something new to spot on the tarmac at MEL.

Funny,

like the first or second day the 767 service was originally meant to start- they send an A346 to MEL
