Anyone got any detail as to the cause?

As of last night EBL was still at PER parked near the International term for all to see with the distinctive ONEWORLD logo..............

From the ATSB website..... http://www.atsb.gov.au/publications/investigation_reports/2011/aair/ao-2011-032.aspx
Investigation Number:AO-2011-032Investigation status:Active
SummarySummaryDuring the take-off run, the aircraft veered off the centreline and the crew rejected the takeoff. The investigation is continuing.

A report has not yet been released for this investigation.

I think you have answered your own question Arthur.

If it is still in Perth then the engineers are still looking for the defect.

I believe it was an issue with the rudder.

VH-EBL is in Singapore today, after operating QF77. It looks like it'll be on that rotation for two days (while another B744 operates the QF71/72).
