Hi All
I will be going to Toulouse in June to visit Airbus and would like to know if anyone knows or has been to a good hotel where there are good vantage points of the runways etc.

cheers
Albert

The airport is a fair way out of town in an area called Blagnac. There are a few hotels around the airport but none that I know of with good runway views...you might have to venture out on foot or by car.

One of the closest hotels to the factory side of the airport is the Airport Hotel (http://www.airport-hotel-toulouse.com), and there's also the Courtyard Toulouse (Marriot) (http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/tlscy-courtyard-toulouse-airport/) which from memory has a covered walkway over the freeway to one of the factory admin buildings.

On the airport side is the Campanile (http://www.campanile-toulouse-blagnac-aeroport.fr/en/index.aspx), and the Pullman. Up near the A380 FAL is the Fast Hotel (http://www.fasthoteltoulouseblagnacaeroport.com/). and the Holiday Inn. (http://www.holidayinn.com/hotels/us/en/toulouse/tlsap/hoteldetail).

Guys, thanks for posting this thread, as i was actually planning on looking at hotels there tonight for when im there in late April. Andrew - have you seen the Hotel Balladins that is there? It has come up in my search of hotels - and looks alright for $189 for 2 nights... We had seen the courtyard and that comes in a good price at $205 for the 2 nights.
Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Apologies for the delay in thanking for your reply.
Found a Formule 1 right next to the terminal, however the reviews are somewhat concerning.

Still no decision yet!

...the reviews are somewhat concerning.

Well, it IS a Formule 1!

I just got back from TLS and stayed at the Radisson Blu which was quite nice and reasonably priced. No bviews from the rooms but it's a short walk to the southern end of the runways, and a short cab ride to the northern end.
