Hi

I was just wondering where all of you get your information on movements in SYD besides this forum.

Thanks for all the help.

There are several other Australian sites which offer comprehensive historical ACARS and SBS information.

And various flight tracking sites offer real time or delayed flight details. It also appears that several subscribers to this site work for airlines or know people in the industry so are able to get good information.

type the airline/rego in the top right corner box and wait for it to appear below before clicking the dropdown info.

Seems ACARS is missing a bit over the last few days - QF6 (Th and Fr) and QF74 (Fr) don't rate a mention.

Is the reporting driven by aircraft or another source ?

Garry, the www.16Right.com (http://www.16Right.com) ACARS is live, receiving transmissions directly from the aircraft. Normally the equipment will pickup ACARS transmissions up to 300km out of YSSY, however reception can vary with weather, the aircraft's track, and the volume of over transmissions. I have just upgraded my setup to a new laptop and have been adjusting audio levels on the receiver and laptop for the optimal reception (still playing around with this one).

I was also wondering where you got your info, such as arrival times, for special flights, e.g. the Iron Maiden 757 or the An-124.

Thanks for the help.

Simple we work in the industry, ie: charter/FBO's etc

Garry, I have tweaked the audio levels on the scanner and laptop and the flights you mentioned all appeared today.

There are several other Australian sites which offer comprehensive historical ACARS and SBS information.

What are these sites (besides 16right and libhomeradar)

Thanks

I am just trying to find out what aircraft is flew on a few years back and 16right does not have my flight on that day.

Although it only goes back about a month at the most, www.data.flight24.com is excellent. It picks up every flight that shows on flightradar24, which is every QF747, A380, 737-800, A330, and most DJ flights.

Julian, try this site:

http://antonakis.ca/acars.php

It goes back several years and picks up info from acars reports from around the world.
