View Full Version : Fatal accident at Moree Airport today

News just coming through of a light plane crash at Moree airport this evening.
A six seater aircraft flying from Brisbane has crashed at or near Moree airport with 4 fatalities and 2 seriously injured survivors.

Always sad to hear/report on these incidents.

Just to follow up on the OP,

the aircraft had departed Brewarrina, not Brisbane as first thought. It came down approximately 2-300 m from the threshold at Moree and about 100m from a Caravan park which is quite lucky (in light of the terrible situation that it missed potentially alot of other people).

Investigation has been opened by the ATSB with investigators on site or heading there, and the following is the link to that report as it progresses.
