Didn't get an invite to the party:(
In today's Daily Telegraph:
Sydney Airport celebrates the 100th anniversary of aviation in Sydney today.
On this day in 1911, New Zealander Joseph Hammond took off in a Bristol Boxkite biplane from Ascot Racecourse, Mascot, soared 40m above the city for 10km before returning 10 minutes later.
Today, the racecourse forms part of the east-west runway and a plaque will be unveiled on Hammond Drive to mark the anniversary.
(Sorry, haven't looked, but where is Hammond Drive?)
