The RAAF have posted the following information regarding ANZAC Day flypast's and displays on their Facebook page:

Make time to see one of these flypasts and remember those who have served, those who continue to serve and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our great nation.

ANZAC Day flypasts’/displays around Australia

Queensland

Three single F/A-18F Super Hornets from RAAF Amberley will perform a number of flypasts over Brisbane City and local regions as part of ANZAC Day commemorative services. The Super Hornets will perform single-ship flypasts over each location.

The aircraft will fly at speeds up to 480 knots (889kph) and an altitude not below 500 feet (152 metres).

9:35am – MacLagan, Cenotaph
9:58am - Forest Lake RSL, Forest Lake Amphitheatre
10:00am - Brisbane City, King George Square

10:21am - Murwillumbah RSL, Cenotaph
10:23am - Yandina / Eumundi RSL
10:33am - Rainbow Beach RSL

New South Wales

An F/A-18F Super Hornet from RAAF Amberley will perform a number of flypasts over Northern NSW towns as part of ANZAC Day commemorative services. The Super Hornet will perform single-ship flypasts over each location.

The aircraft will fly at speeds up to 480 knots (889kph) and an altitude not below 500 feet (152 metres).

10:50am - Esk, Cenotaph
11:23am – Woodenbong RSL, Unumgar St
11:24am – Urbenville RSL, Village Main St
11:35am - Evans Head
11:38am – Iluka
12:13pm – Moree RSL, Cenotaph

An F/A-18 Hornet from RAAF Williamtown will perform a number of flypasts over Newcastle and Hunter regions as part of ANZAC Day commemorative services.

A single Hornet will travel south to north over the Doyalson Wyee RSL Sub Branch, before tracking south to north over Belmont RSL. The jet will then travel north-east to south-west along the main road at Kangaroo Valley before turning around and travelling back up the main road. The aircraft will then track south to north over Gosford Memorial Park, before heading east to west down Swansea Channel and will then overfly Memorial Park at the Entrance. The jet will finally conduct a flypast over the Nelson Bay RSL before returning to RAAF Williamtown.

The aircraft will fly at speeds up to 400 knots (833kph) and an altitude not below 250 feet (76 metres).

Australian Capital Territory

Three F/A-18 Hornets from RAAF Williamtown will perform a number of flypasts over Canberra and local areas as part of ANZAC Day commemorative services.

The three-ship formation will travel south-west to north-east over Parliament House, Lake Burley Griffin and the Australian War Memorial, before tracking east to west over Bungendore.

The aircraft will fly at speeds up to 400 knots (833kph) and an altitude not below 250 feet (76 metres).

12:00pm – Bungendore

Victoria

One CT4 and one Winjeel aircraft from RAAF Museum, Point Cook, Victoria will perform a flypasts over the Melbourne Shrine as part of ANZAC Day commemorative services.

11.30am - Melbourne Shrine

Four PC-9/A aircraft from Central Flying School RAAF East Sale will perform a number of flypasts over Victoria as part of ANZAC Day commemorative services.

The aircraft will fly at a speed of 240 knots with smoke and not below 200 feet.

10.20am - Paynesville
10.23am - Loch Sport
10.27am - Golden Beach
10.33am - Sale
10.50am - Moe
11.03am - Geelong

Western Australia

Three PC-9/A aircraft from No. 2 Flying Training School, RAAF Pearce, WA will perform a number of flypasts over WA as part of ANZAC Day commemorative services.

The aircraft will fly at speeds up to 250 knots (463 kph) and an altitude not below 500 feet (152 metres).

The timings and locations of the flypasts for 3 separate formations are as follows:

6.00am - Kings Park – one aircraft
6.00am - North Beach – one aircraft
6.10am - Ocean Reef – one aircraft
6.18am - Fremantle – one aircraft
6.30am - Bullsbrook – one aircraft
6.40am - Quinns Rock – formation
6.50am - Merriwa – formation


9.45am - Bussleton
10.10am - Bunbury
10.15am - Walpole
10.35am - Mt Barker
11.00am – Albany
10.45am - Jurien Bay
11.00am - Dongara
11.20am - Northampton
11.45am - Geraldton

Up to four Mk127 Hawks from No 79 Squadron will perform a number of flypasts over Perth and local areas as part of ANZAC Day commemorative services.

A four-ship formation will hold over water to conduct a flypast over Cockburn (just South of Fremantle) at 10:43am travelling from west to east, followed by a left turn to fly over Esplanade Park in Fremantle travelling from east to west at 10:45am. The aircraft will then reposition to conduct a flypast travelling south-east to north-west over Kings Park at 11:00am.

Three jets will then track south to conduct flypasts over Kwinana and Rockingham, before returning to RAAF Pearce.

A single jet will conduct flypasts over Bakers Hill, Toodyay, Northam, Bindoon, Moora and Dandaragan.

The aircraft will fly at speeds up to 350 knots (648 kph) and an altitude not below 500 feet (152 metres).

10:43am – Cockburn (4 x aircraft)
10:45am – Fremantle (4 x aircraft)
11:00am – Kings Park (4 x aircraft)
11:10am – Bakers Hill (1 x aircraft)
11:15am – Kwinana (3 x aircraft)
11:15am – Toodyay (1 x aircraft)
11:20am – Northam (1 x aircraft)
11:30am – Rockingham (3 x aircraft)
11:30am – Bindoon (1 x aircraft)
11:40am – Moora (1 x aircraft)
11:45am – Dandaragan (1 x aircraft)



All flypasts’/displays are depending on weather, pilot availability, and aircraft serviceability.

No flypast for Sydney city :(. I was hoping for maybe a F/A-18 to fly over the ANZAC bridge & go over the Harbour Bridge.

Yeah, indeed Jayden- Sounds pretty weird..

I thought it flew past the cbd last year and has for the past few? maybe scared a few too many onlookers :eek:

Yes a bit strange that nothing is scheduled for SYD.

The only 'movement' we may see is a Blackhawk arriving at the SFS where Cpl Ben Smith VC, will bring the Anzac Day cup for the Roosters/Dragons match on Monday. (Courtesy of the Footy show where CPl Smith was a guest and a big Roosters fan).

HARS have had the Neptune and at least one of their Dak's out this morning. I don't know which services they have overflown.

Maybe the weather or pilot availability played a factor & it got cancelled as outlined by the RAAF.

All flypasts’/displays are depending on weather, pilot availability, and aircraft serviceability.
