A QANTAS flight from Auckland to Melbourne was returning to the New Zealand city as a precautionary measure after being hit by lightning today.
The New Zealand television network TV3 News reported there were no injuries on board the flight, and fire appliances at Auckland Airport were not placed on standby.
Any ideas as to rego, anyone? What are the implications of this happening (a/c wise), as to what checks will it need to go through before flying again or even whilst heading back to AKL? Electrical systems perhaps, or are there circuit breakers there to protect systems??
